Jimmy Lin's condo in Shanghai was invaded by fans. The security guard was fired. He sold it for TWD25M recently and made a 1.5 times profit, very money savvy.

Jimmy Lin’s condo in Shanghai was exposed by paparazzi who tailed him for news on his love life. The location and the surroundings were exposed. Anytime he worked in Shanghai there were fans camping outside. Some even managed to get his floor number, broke the code and went up to ring the doorbell. The security guard was thus fired.

Jimmy debuted at 17. He lived with his family in Taipei then. The outside of his building became a tourist attraction. Fans scripted love messages on the walls outside. Jimmy’s father had to go down daily to clean the walls. Jimmy’s younger brother had to deliver gifts and letters for fans. Some even rented a place in the building across the street in order to monitor his activities.

As to the news that he was selling his condo and quitting showbiz his manager Grace said, "It is true that Jimmy sold his condo but that he’s quitting is not true." Jimmy bought the condo in Shanghai for TWD10M and sold it for TWD25M.

Jimmy said, "I am sorry that neighbors were disturbed because of me. I hope that fans won’t waste time and energy. They should study and work hard."
