This New Year’s Eve, be prepared for a full on sonic assault by electro misfits The Bloody Beetroots and come the first Saturday of 2010, Grammy Winners & music pioneers, Basement Jaxx will rock the decks. 6 great acts with 2 fresh debuts will descent into the heart of the city for 2 nights of unforgettable celebrations. Fresh from the massive success of the inaugural Future in May 2009 which featured Steve Aoki and Dim Mak, Future returns with a bigger and bolder installment to usher the New Year in style.
On Day 1 (31 December 2009) get ready to bounce to the intensity of The Bloody Beetroots serving up a formidable blend of fidget and electro. The Bloody Beetroots are quite like the gruesome offspring of The Misfits and Daft Punk. Having signed on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label, they have spawned more than 45 remixes and productions, with the 2008 Cornelius EP being in top 100 iTunes international download. 2009 saw the release of the highly acclaimed Romborama album which includes one of 2009 biggest tune 'WARP', along with collaboration with The Cool Kids, Vicarious Bliss and many more.
Scenesters, Lap Sap and renowned award winning music mixer DJ Goldfish will also be setting the mood for us to usher in the New Year.
Gracing the decks of Future on Day 2 (2 January 2010) are Grammy Winners, Basement Jaxx. Simon Radcliff and Felix Buxton collectively known as Bassment Jaxx has sold over 3 million albums worldwide including the 2005 UK double platinum The Singles. 2005 also saw them collect their first Grammy for Best Electronic Album. From releasing monster hits like ‘Where’s Your Head At’ and ‘Romeo’, to being featured in various video game's soundtracks and remixing the likes of Missy Elliot, Justin Timberlake and N.E.R.D, Basement Jaxx are true musical pioneers. This year they released their fifth album Scars and the first single off the album, ‘Raindrops’ is now on the playlist of top DJs around the world including Tiesto, whom just recently named it Best Tune of 2009.
This sensational duo will be supported by our very own Victor G, who recently opened for Underworld in Singapore and DJ Azran who made waves with his residency in Sultan Lounge.
This will be The Bloody Beetroots and Basement Jaxx's first visit to Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur is set to welcome them in a way that they’ve never experienced before!
